This folder has fractional cover datasets starting from 2001 January and actively maintained by Earth Observation Landscapes team, CSIRO.

File contains following type of data
1. Total cover datasets, which has total value for Photosynthetic Vegetation(PV) and
   Non-Photosynthetic Vegetation (NPV). 
   It has two type of files. One with native projection (For ex. FC.v310.MCD43A4.A2001.01.aust.006.Tot.tif)
   and another type with Australian Albers Projection (EPSG:3577) (For ex. FC.v310.MCD43A4.A2001.01.aust.006.Tot_3577.tif). 

2. Three bands FC and Total cover raster files have also png file format.
   It is smaller sizes and uses RGB colour for Bare soil, PV and NPV respectively. And total cover uses
   colour ramp consistent with the product available in WMS serices in NCI/GSKY
   For ex. 2003.05.png for RGB bands and for total cover in FC.v310.MCD43A4.A2003.05.aust.006.Tot.png

        <MODIS Product used> MCD43A4
        <Year starting with A> AYYYY
        <two digits month > 01
        <Country/continent> aust
        <MODIS product version> 006

Same as above except for following file
for ex. FC.v310.MCD43A4.A2001.01.aust.006.Tot_3577.tif
        <Product type> total cover  with Aus albers projection(EPSG: 3577) default is native projection
